While the rest of the country has baked all season long, I think summer is just now coming to Seattle. June and July have definitely been more akin to Halloween season than summer season. But, the dog days of summer are here and we decide to take off to Lake Chelan in the eastern part of Washington state, where it’s actually been summer all summer long. Days were hot but the sun was definitely setting earlier than I feel like it has and there was that distinct crispness in the morning that lets you know fall is coming up. Sigh.
